How does payment in instaprice work? What are the fees involved?

We’ve partnered up with the world’s most secure payment processing service, Stripe, to help your clients pay by card, anytime, anywhere.

Card payments are often used by freelancers now, due to convenience and widespread usage of credit and debit cards. Compared to wire transfers, which often take more time to process (often, accounting departments need to confirm transactions), card payments offer autonomy and convenience to clients. In some countries however, wire transfers remain more popular.

Stripe transaction fees

Instaprice charges 1.4% per payment, plus Stripe transaction fees. We use Stripe to keep your bank details secure and make sure you’re paid on time.

• If payment in Europe: 1.5% + €0.25

• If payment in UK: 2.5%

• If payment from international card: 2.9% + €0.25

Additionally, Stripe charges 1% of the payout amount when you choose to payout in select alternative currencies. For a list of each country, visit Stripe.

Stripe transaction fees

When you have been paid by a client, you will receive an email notification. On average, it takes 2 to 5 days to receive the money on your bank account.
